Domestic Artist Mirrors

I can't even begin to really describe the utter awesomeness that is the new 'Narcisse' artist mirror collection by Domestic in France.
I wonder what the likelihood is that these would break if shipped? Artists contributing to the collection include: Matali Crasset, 5.5 Designers, Geneviève Gauckler, Ich&Kar, Rolito, Tado, Antoine+Manuel, Pierre
Marie, Ana Mir+Emili Padròs.

Onitsuka Tigers + TokiDoki

According to Josh Spear, TokiDoki is doing a collaboration this Spring with Onitsuka Tigers- my favorite shoes! The collaboration will span a lengthy two years, and feature Simone Legno's super cute characters on the shoes. I am pretty excited to see what comes of this!

Smalticolor Editions

I can't tell a whole lot about the prints / posters for sale on the Smalticolor Editions site. I know the art is done by the French artist Qubo Gas, and I am really liking the color palettes and use of the space on each piece. Check out the site, here.

Hidden Habitats : Now Online!

I completely blanked and forgot to post about the Hidden Habitats opening- Saelee Oh and Jill Bliss' show over at GR2. Luckily, there is still some gorgeous work available, and the show is all up online, here.
There are pieces just by Saelee, just by Jill, and some collaborative pieces as well.

Inspired By : Japanese Kid's Clothing

I am so inspired by art and illustration from Japan. From Murakami and his KaiKai Kiki artists, Sanrio, Junko Mizuno... the list goes on and on. For my design work, I find myself really loving the amazing clothing for kids that comes from Japan. I spend a lot of time on this site, which I know nothing about and cannot read, but just look at the clothing! It's amazing! I wish all these things came in my size.

Evah Fan

Since everyone is moving at the speed of light, hurrying through everything and rushing all around, I thought I should post some nice calm art that is simple and lovely and easy on the eyes. This bought Evah Fan to mind- her work is amazing and never overwhelms me. Here's a few pieces from her site I found particularly wonderful.

Esther Derkx @ ReForm School

I first saw the beautiful work of Netherlands based artist Esther Derkx in the back of some random magazine years ago at the doctor's office. I remember coming home and searching frantically for a way to purchase a piece, but no luck. I forgot all about her work until I stumbled upon it today on the ReForm School site.
I love these delicate teacups, plates, and teapots, all made amazingly cool with screenprints of dancers, gymnasts, and divers.
