Animated Awesomeness

While looking for the I Love Egg cartoon on You Tube, I found some more super cute cartoons...

The Cold Song :

Pizza La Kun :

Carrot Song :

Singing Poop : (I couldn't resist...)

I Love Egg!

I've always loved this clever and super cute I Love Egg cartoon. My little sister came home from school the other day and said a boy in her class has the whole egg family dangling off his backpack! I couldn't believe I had missed out on I Love Egg products... but apparently it's true! According to the website, there's all sorts of items- even a Yamaha scooter! I'll definitely be keeping a lookout for some I Love Egg items...

Japanese Illustrator : Enfant

I can't read any of the site, but somehow I stumbled upon the illustration website of Enfant. I don't know if that's even the artist's name... but I really like the work a lot! You can see the whole portfolio, here.

Prints for Sale!!

Prints are for sale! They turned out great and I am really excited about them! Each print is signed and numbered, edition of 100. They are printed on heavyweight matte paper, and are $35 each.

Kawaii the Bunnie Update....

We've had our little bun-kins for nearly 2 months now, and he's beginning to be really comfortable around us. Dan built him an amazing 3 story home (modeled after the Dwell pre-fab house) and he loves it! He spends all night hopping from floor to floor, and then cozies up in his warm bed for nap time. He loves treats and we have successfully started to fatten him up!

He does NOT like his walking vest, and we have to distract him with treats to get it on, and then he wiggles his way out. Our floor is slippery and he has trouble gaining his footing, so when he's on the leash he just slides about- it's funny and a bit sad, so we've stopped trying to play with the leash.

We are thinking of possibly getting him a bunny friend, but that's a ways off- right now we are having fun playing with our new "super cute" pet.

BAPE Los Angeles

YAY! The Bape LA store finally opened this weekend! Dan and I have been waiting forever for BAPE to open... its one of our fave brands! The store is pretty amazing- I couldn't take any photos inside, but I snapped a few of the super cool exterior to show you. See the peeps waiting outside? We had to wait nearly an hour, and it was 94 outside today, ewww! The store is on Melrose, right across from Kid Robot. Dan got a LA exclusive hoodie- I am SO jealous! I'll have to steal it when he isn't looking...

Japanese Matchbooks

I don't smoke, but nearly everyone I know does (ick), so I would totally carry these around in my purse. That way, I would (A) be helpful to my smoking friends in need, and (B) have something adorable floating around inisde my bag.
There's even faces ON the matches!

Side of Frye's Please...

Two wonderful finds this evening... the Unruly Things blog (love), and the shoe company, Frye. I've started to wish I had more than just two feet!

New Kokeshi Print

Just finished up this print, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Flickr Favorite : Courtney Brooke

The photographs on Courtney Brooke's Flickr are lovely beyond words. I've spent the last hour browsing through them, and not only have I concluded that she herself is gorgeous, but she lives in a wooded fairyland filled with amazing clothes- and I am ready to move in!
She's the photographer for both Mama Stone Vintage and Lullie Vintage, and her work belongs in the pages of fashion magazines!

Lots of thanks to a new fave blog, Blaze Danielle, for this link!

Rachel Comey

Even though I work in the fashion industry, I usually avoid doing my homework and am the last to know about cool upscale (read: pricey) designers. I'll admit it- I buy 90% of my clothes at H&M, Forever 21, and Target. I just can't buy expensive clothes- I'd rather have vintage, or cheap imitations. It's not that I don't covet the Marc Jacobs racks I pass by in the mall, it's just that I am so picky, and I change sizes so often, I can't fathom spending $300.00 on a blouse.
Today, however, I believe I just might have to admit that should I come into a large sum of money, or decide to rob a bank, I would find it difficult not to fill my closet with clothes by Rachel Comey. Those prints... and colors, and dear lord, those wedges are calling my name!

Inspired By : Yoshitomo Nara

Yoshitomo Nara has always been one of my favorite artists. I saw his solo show in San Jose a few years ago, and it's still one of my favorite exhibits. I searched for some of his work online today, and fell in love all over again. His 2006 show in Japan, A to Z was constructed in abandoned warehouses- it looks like it was amazing! Here's some of the images I came across today and found inspiring...
