I <3 Takashi Murakami

This weekend, I had my own adventure in Wonderland. The ©MURAKAMI show is so absolutely mind-blowing, I can scarcely believe it was even real. It felt like I was walking through the most amazing place you could ever imagine. If there hadn't been a million people, making me sweat profusely and have to push my way to the front lines, I would have thought the whole experience was a dream. Even if you aren't a huge Murakami fan, this is a show you cannot miss. Fly, drive, hitch, whatever it takes to get to LA- you must go and see this show.

Extra special highlight of the evening... after filling out the MOCA membership forms, Dan and I notice Murakami sitting on the steps outside the museum, and ask him to sign Dan's now worse for wear panda keychain that I bought in Tokyo. Not only did he sign it, he drew on it! He was so nice, and I am so happy I was able to refrain from squealing with sheer adoration at the utter and total master of everything I love.

©MURAKAMI runs through February 11. I will be there many, many days between now and then, and you should be there too.

I almost don't want to post any photos of this show, no picture can do it any justice at all.
