One of my favorite artist duos, 64 Colors, is cranking out some really amazing customs (see more pics on their flickr). Their upcoming show 'Greetings from Near and Afar' opens next weekend at Rotofugi, I wish I was going!
I'm also an illustrator, and make super-cute products with my mom at our company, Bored Inc.
