NYC, London, Amsterdam, Paris & Chicago Adventure

I am back home after an amazing vacation! We weren't quite sure where we'd end up when we left, but our 2 week trip took us to New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Chicago.

We started in NY, but only spent a night there- mostly we went so we could go and see "The Book of Mormon", which was highly inappropriate and hilarious!

Next we went to London, where I got to visit the flagship Orla Kiely store (picked up a super-cute new bag for school). We ate at the nearby Meat Liquor which was delicious! Best onion rings I have ever had. Damien Hirst has an exhibition at the Tate with this epic guy outside:

We also made it to Liberty, which was as lovely as I had hoped- so much beautiful fabric and their iconic florals are available on kid's clothes, shoes, toiletries, bath products, stationary- everything you can imagine! Round the corner was Lazy Oaf which I had always hoped to visit!

The Shoreditch area of London was my favorite, with cute boutiques, great food and amazing street art (Image at the top of this post is from here, as well as the two photos below). I bought 3 dresses at Aubin & Wills, one of my new favorite shops!

In Amsterdam, there was more great street art, and I was blown away by how beautiful the canals are. Can I live in a houseboat please? My favorite shop in Amsterdam was Frozen Fountain, where I picked up an adorable dish by Jimbobart.

We spent only one night in Paris, where we stayed at the W Opera, which turned out to be an amazing hotel. I was torn between wanting to do as much exploring in our one day but also crawl under the covers and sleep like a baby in the comfiest bed ever. I felt like a modern Marie Antoinette in that room. Major swoon.

We did make it to Colette, Merci, and Bon Ton. In Bon Ton, where I ran around like a crazy girl fawning over the cutest kid's stuff ever, I found a little nook hand-painted by Marc Boutavant! I was beyond excited and managed to snap a few photos.

In Chicago I was fighting off a brutal cold, and the time-zone jumping was really catching up with us. We managed to take a great architectural boat tour, eat some delicious food, and catch up with friends before flying back home to San Francisco.

Now it's back to real life, as I start school this week and the final preparations of "Pablove One Another" are underway!
