Diem Chau uses common objects and elevates them to beautiful works of art with embroidery and delicate illustration. Her selection of available works includes teacups, porcelain dishes and carved crayons.

There are some gorgeous pieces available online from Gallery Hanahou's 'Forget Me-Not', an embroidery themed group show.
See the whole collection of available works here. There's even some by the wonderful Diem Chau.
Vietnam born artist Diem Chau creates unexpected, delicate interpretations - a kitchen table with papers strewn across the top inside a small bowl, kids and their pets carved from crayons, and delicate fiber arts inside of teacups and ceramic dinnerware.
Her work takes on new meaning once created or placed inside these everyday household objects. I am especially drawn to the pieces incorporating hair and loose threads. Such fragility added to these already somewhat fragile- yet still commonplace- objects makes the work quite lovely and beautiful.
