So excited about this awesome group show centered around Peter Kato's adorable Bedtime Bunnies! An amazing lineup of artists have customized their own bunnies for "Bedtime Stories" opening this weekend at My Plastic Heart. Show details & press release info below:

myplasticheart and Peter Kato are proud to present Bedtime Stories, the first custom exhibition of Bedtime Bunnies, an original character created and designed by Peter Kato. This exhibition will debut a 4.5 inch version of the character made specifically for the exhibition. Showcasing the work of over 30 artists exploring the theme of bedtime stories, we invite them to revisit some of their favorite classic fairytales.

Bedtime stories come in many varieties, whether it’s a fairytale or fable or nursery rhyme, they bring us back to our childhood and our memories of stories and storytelling. Each custom Bedtime Bunny will tell it’s own story and give us a glimpse into each artist’s childhood inspiration.

About Bedtime Bunnies Peter’s Bedtime Bunnies are original resin figures hand made and produced by Peter himself in his Brooklyn studio. They have garnered much popularity and a huge following through this past year. This will be the first time the figures will be presented in an exhibition of custom works.

“Bedtime Bunnies Imagined on a late night inspired by fairy tales and children’s books the image of bunnies wearing bunnie-slippers came to mind and so became these sleepwalking companions to those long magical nights. It’s been one full year since the bunnies debuted last Spring with many colors, variations and form. We continue to bring you new things from their world. Stay up with them. Peter Kato is an artist who explores the subjects of imagination & sleep through toy sculpting, illustration & painting. He spends his time in his Brooklyn studio dreaming up curious bunnies, robots and clever animals.”

Dubbed Bear Buns, Andrea takes the popular Pocket Pork Dumpling platform by Shawnimals and give it her personal touch, creating a group of delectable looking bears full of personality… they are almost good enough to eat! Andrea Kang "Pretend Sleep" at Myplasticheart

One of my favorite artists, Andrea Kang, has a new show opening at Myplasticheart Nov. 15th - Dec. 15th. The opening reception will be held on Nov. 15th, 6-9pm. Andrea will be showing a new range of mixed media pieces that depict nostalgia and the blurred realities of consciousness, recollection, and sleep.

The pieces from "Magical Place", Jeremiah Ketner (small and round)'s new show which opened this past weekend at My Plastic Heart, are now online. These are my favorites, but everything in the show is incredibly beautiful. The art is priced really well, and there are still some pieces available, here.

I was really excited to be able to meet Jeremiah this year at SDCC, as I've long been a fan of his beautiful work. His newest exhibition, 'Magical Place' opens tomorrow at My Plastic Heart. Can't wait to see the pieces from this show!

myplasticheart presents “Magical Place” featuring new works by Jeremiah Ketner. He is instantly recognizable to peers and fans for his pop surrealistic style and known for his mantra of things small and round. Ketner began his formal art training at the age of 12 and has gone on to present in more than 50 galleries across the country. His sprites are still the inspiration for his custom painted wooden and vinyl figures as well as his original paintings, which are on display at Nordstrom department stores. “Magical Place” will exhibit Ketner’s latest paintings and custom figures continuing the evolution of his art. Please join us at the opening reception on Friday August 19th from 6-9PM.
