Pancho Tolchinsky: The Little Decisions We Make

Photobucket

Pancho Tolchinsky is a fantastic photographer. I am always blown away by the gorgeous depth and narrative in his photography. His new show, 'The Little Decisions We Make' opens July 27th at Rojo Contemporary Art Space in Barcelona.

Photgraphy by Lauri on Etsy

Spring is supposed to be here, but it's pretty dreary outside, in San Francisco at least. But then I happened upon the lovely photo prints in this Etsy shop and my mood was instantly lifted! Such lovely work!

Maleonn

If Michel Ghondry has a photographer counterpart, I am pretty certain it's Maleonn. His photographs are surreal, sometimes slightly creepy, but always insanely creative and thought provoking. Maleonn is based in Shanghai, China. See more work on his website, and lots more images after the jump. They are best viewed large, so you can fully appreciate all the set design and little details.

Toy Life

Toy Life is a shop in the UK, run by the founders of Mujuworld. They have a great selection of toys and often host shows with some great people. My favorite thing about them? Their AMAZING TOY PHOTOGRAPHY!

Check out the photography on their website and also their flickr.

Flickr Favorite : Courtney Brooke

The photographs on Courtney Brooke's Flickr are lovely beyond words. I've spent the last hour browsing through them, and not only have I concluded that she herself is gorgeous, but she lives in a wooded fairyland filled with amazing clothes- and I am ready to move in!
She's the photographer for both Mama Stone Vintage and Lullie Vintage, and her work belongs in the pages of fashion magazines!

Lots of thanks to a new fave blog, Blaze Danielle, for this link!

The Blood Show

I can't decide if I like this Mark Ryden-esque photoshoot or not. At first I was really taken with it, especially the little plastic steak toy... but now I am starting to feel like they only graced the tip of the iceberg, and it could have been a lot cooler if it wasn't quite so literal. I do like the lighting a lot, and I would pay a lot of money for those amazing knit knee-highs.

Flickr Favorite : Miss Lulu & The Teaspoon Shortage

I am in love with the stunning photos on the Miss Lulu & The Teaspoon Shortage (Lucia Holm) flickr. The vintage photo feeling, mixed with the amazing styling, has me super amped for another photo shoot. I really need to start working on my photoshop skills!

Miu Miu & Kirsten Dunst

Wow, this photoshoot with Kirsten Dunst for Miu Miu is really gorgeous! I love the dark moody colors against her super pale skin and blonde hair. Since I have been dabbling in photo shoots, I have a whole new appreciation for the work that goes into them- especially the sets and all the lighting!

Jennifer Zwick

I laughed so hard at Jennifer Zwick's website, I almost peed my pants. I'm serious, it is, she is, totally amazing. I read every inch of it, and I want MORE! Ever look at someone's work and think that you must know this person? Well, Jennifer, you have a standing invitation over to my house, because I adore you.
I thought it couldn't get any better, then I saw her links. Her first link is a "mini site" and guess what? It is her website, but MINI!! Brilliant.

Go adore her with me, here.

Read each and every one of the 100 "What could go wrong" series, which is both hillarious, touching, and sad, then giggle at all of the "anonymous animals".

If you are in Seattle, I am insanely jealous, but go to this anyway:
I'm So Scared/It's All So Hard
