Bulldog Beauty Contest!

I am headed to Las Vegas Sunday- but not until after the Bulldog Beauty Contest in Long Beach! It will be Bella's first year :)

Beantown Handmade

I am utterly floored by how cute these are (and the pictures on their darling model Bean are pretty amazing too!)
I wonder if I can squeeze one of these babies around Bella's neck wrinkles? The one thing I have learned about an english bullie is that cute clothes usually don't fit. However, Bean Handmade will make custom items in any size! Hooray!

Bella's Surgery

I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday. I had to take Bella in for eye surgery and I have been a nervous wreck. She is all better now, thank goodness! Resuming posting now :)

Bella "The Dog"

You know that series of photographs called "The Dog" where the dog's face is right up to the camera? While I was taking pics of the stuff I got in Hawaii, Bella was pretty upset at the lack of attention, so she decided to do a little "The Dog" inspired photo shoot...

Our new addition...

Bella is finally home! (and we are exhausted...)


She only sleeps about 2 hours at a time, and has a very mighty yelp for someone so tiny! She's very sweet though, and loves to be cuddled and play with all her toys!

I haven't mentioned this yet, because I wanted to wait until we had better pics of her... but this week is my 26th birthday and my 5th anniversary with Dan, and he is getting me an ENGLISH BULLDOG PUPPY!!!


We picked her out a few weeks ago (she was only 3 weeks old when we met her) and we went to visit her again this weekend. She comes home on August 14th, and it's all I can think about! I am so so so excited!


We have named her Bella, and I have just started shopping for toys and beds- there is so much cute doggie stuff out there; I had no idea!


When we went to pick Bella out, we brought my mom along, hoping she would be the "voice of reason" and not let us make any emotional decisions. I guess we should have left her in the car, because she fell in love with one of the puppies as well, and now she is getting Bella's brother. I'll get to play with him everyday at work! This is like puppy heaven!


I'm sure once I get her I will be posting more photos, but these are the pics we took this weekend. Bella is the darker puppy, on the left in the photo above, and my mom's puppy is the one on the right (he is yet to be named) YAY!
