2012 marks the year of the dragon, and Immedium's new book in their Chinese zodiac series celebrates just that! The Year of the Dragon, written by Oliver Chin and wonderfully illustrated by Jennifer Wood, is the perfect book to teach teamwork, critical thinking, and friendship. There's tons of super cute illustrated characters, too!
One of the newest titles from Immedium is Sora and the Cloud, by Felicia Hoshino, a sweet story that is written in both English and Japanese (Japanese translation by Akiko Hisa). Sora gets to do something everyone dreams about; take a ride on a fluffy cloud! Accompanied by lovely, soft and dreamy illustrations, this seems like the perfect bedtime book!

Have you ever wondered if you might be a monster? Well, Attaboy can tell you! In his super-awesome new book published by Immedium, you'll learn what happens to missing socks, why you shouldn't hug a cactus, how to escape from zombie clowns, and lots of other very useful and important information. The stories are really fun to read and illustrated in Attaboy's unique style. The book debuts at SDCC, and I can't wait to add one to my already stellar collection of Immedium books!
Very excited to see another great book release from Immedium! Billie the Unicorn is a story about a sweet, but unfulfilled little unicorn named Billie, searching for her place and purpose in the world. After making a few bad choices, Billie learns to be true to herself and those that love her.
The illustrations in this book are phenomenal, the characters are filled with charm and personality!
I love rabbits, obviously, so 'The Year of the Rabbit' a sweet story about Rosie, a rabbit with extra-long ears, was right up my alley. Written by Oliver Chin with fantastic illustrations by Justin Roth, this book is another great Immedium release. A tale of friendship, bravery, and why sometimes its good to be just a little different, Rosie will hop her way right into your heart.
Immedium is really on a roll. They keep puttin' out books by some of my favorite artists! The newest addition to their lineup is by the awesome Argentinian design duo DGPH. DGPH's Space Cadet Topo is an adventure story filled with super cute illustrations and my favorite little Mole, Topo.
From the press release: What would you do if the sun went out? Space Cadet Topo is ready to help! His mission is travel to the last planet in the galaxy and find the Galactic Torch. But can this clever astronaut retrieve this legendary match and relight the sun's flame before everything freezes forever? DGPH's popular Topo makes readers smile in his first exciting sci-fi adventure.
The books that Immedium publishes are my favorite - they perfectly pair great stories with art by some of the world's best illustrators. The books appeal to kids, parents, and collectors alike!
Help support DGPH make their book a reality! Based on the amount of your dontation, you'll receive awesome prizes- and you'll help TOPO Space Cadet make it to printing!
Details below: Topo is a fun character in search of excitement! Help us create his stellar storybook Space Cadet Topo!
We’re Diego and Andres Vaisberg and Martin Lowenstein. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, we founded our design team DGPH and created our mascot Topo (Spanish for “mole”). We have put Topo in many places: gallery show paintings, limited edition vinyl toys, socks, stickers, and T-shirts. He got a mustache and hairpiece, became a robot, and starred in our online game Molestown (www.molestown.com). Always Topo makes people happy!
Last year we created our first comic book Topo: Amazing Adventures. Naturally our fans asked us, "When will Topo be in a storybook?" This good question got us thinking...
So, that’s the next step…and you can help fulfill our dream to see Topo’s greatest journey in print: he is a brave astronaut who must save the day after the sun turned off! Now Topo's mission is to travel to the "Last Planet" in the galaxy and retrieve the legendary Galactic Torch. Can he return in time to relight the sun before everything freezes forever? Find out with us! The hardcover book (dust jacket, 9.5” x 10", 40 pages) will be ideal for kids, parents, and comics and illustration lovers, and hopefully a launching pad for an animated film :)
Your donations will help produce 3,000 copies (design, print, ship, import) and spread the word about Topo from the web to schools and libraries. We have partnered with the fan-friendly American publisher Immedium - www.immedium.com. But due to our unique agreement we need to fund the book’s manufacturing to make it actually happen. Plus you’ll provide us the time necessary to perfect Topo’s excellent adventure. We're full-time freelancers and would appreciate the ability to focus 100% on making a completely colorful universe. Then we hope to share the new book with you by October 2010 along with many cool rewards!
I've had the pleasure of reviewing all of the books in Meomi's wonderful 'Octonauts' series, which are published by Immedium. I have to say, they just keep getting better and better, and the newest, 'The Octonauts & the Great Ghost Reef' is probably my favorite yet. Not only are the illustrations so cute I want to hang them on my walls, but the story is great, and it's educational. I've selected a few of my favorite images for this post, but pick up the book, because it won't disappoint! Every page is filled with the cutest illustrations, featuring Meomi's signature characters!
I first became a fan of Feldman's illustration when I saw his Pop Cling wall vinyls and then his toy prototypes at Comic Con. This book presents a whole new depth to his wonderful bold illustrations. Not only am I loving the main characters in the book- especially the super cute Chaff (check out that top hat!)- but the lush scenery and creatures in the backgrounds make the illustrations come to life.
The story is one of compassion, courage and adventure, as a lost mosquito, Moskivvy, is helped back home with the help of his two new friends, Chaff and Mai.
See more wonderful preview images from the book after the jump.
Immedium publishers have sent me a preview of their newest release, "The Year of the Ox," written by Oliver Chin and illustrated (very adorably) by Miah Alcorn.
The story follows the adventures of Olivia, a baby ox, and her best friend, the farmer's daughter Mei. As Olivia grows, she struggles to find her place on the farm, and it's through her special bond with Mei that she ultimately finds her sense of self importance. The book has adorable illustrations and the storyline is a great lesson that any small person might not feel very mighty in the beginning, but if they wait long enough, their purpose will soon come clear. Stories like this always made me hopeful as a kid, and I think it's important that all children feel that they can make a difference, despite their age and size. I'm happy to see fresh illustrative style be mixed with an important, timeless message. Immedium has, once again, put out a book that is both great to look at, and important to share.
