Cuteness at the 2010 Olympics!

There's major cuteness surrounding the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Meomi's darling mascot crew, introduced in the animation above, is now accompanied by this darling Lolligag olympic tribute. The olympics have never been cuter!

Meomi Wall Art

Oh dear, my walls are calling out for the new Meomi wall decal designs available from Surface Collective.

Meomi for iBend

I hate watching media content on my iphone and having to hold it- but the new (and super cute) product iBend does that for you- and it's so slim it also fits in your pocket!
The two designs by Meomi are especially awesome!

Meomi : The Octonauts & The Great Ghost Reef

I've had the pleasure of reviewing all of the books in Meomi's wonderful 'Octonauts' series, which are published by Immedium. I have to say, they just keep getting better and better, and the newest, 'The Octonauts & the Great Ghost Reef' is probably my favorite yet.
Not only are the illustrations so cute I want to hang them on my walls, but the story is great, and it's educational.
I've selected a few of my favorite images for this post, but pick up the book, because it won't disappoint! Every page is filled with the cutest illustrations, featuring Meomi's signature characters!

New Zune Originals

I posted before about how enamored I was with the artist selection at Zune. They've added several new wonderful people to the mix, so I thought I would mention them again.

Aside from the previous amazing lineup that included Catalina Estrada, Meomi and Tado, you can now get laser engraved Zune MP3 players by Aya Kato, Rolito, and Sam Flores.

If you head over to the Zune Arts section of the website, you can scroll through the artist + musician collaborations and watch videos, download wallpapers and fold & glue paper toys- even download full sized high resolution posters suitable for printing & framing.

Meomi : Octonauts Booksigning

Vicki + Michael = Meomi, the amazing duo behind the series 'The Octonauts' are doing a small book signing tour this month with dates scheduled in Northern California and one in Los Angeles. (The one in LA is on Oct 25th at Meltdown Comics- I'll be there!).

I love love love the art created by Meomi and am so excited to meet them in person!

They also have an upcoming show at Rojo Gallery in Barcelona, plus a super adorable new journal released by Monoblock in Argentina.

The image above is from the monthly calendar download on the Meomi website :)

New Meomi Stuff

I ventured over to Meomi after seeing their adorable redo of the SuperBuzzy site, and I found some news about new Meomi products!
Their new book, Color Cloud Seeding looks SO amazingly beautiful- I am really wanting to add this to my collection. The Octonaut books are some of my favorites, but this book has more of a portfolio feeling to it, and the work looks absolutely stunning! Also, a NEW Octonauts book- The Octonauts and the Frown Fish- is coming out soon!

New Meomi products by Dark Horse are coming out soon too, including this super cute journal. You can pre-order it now on Amazon.

Zune

I am an Apple girl, and I always have been. I've never owned a PC, and I can't use one very easily... they just don't seem to be made in a way that makes sense to me. I've got an Iphone, and an Ipod... and now I want a Zune!? I've never wanted anything that Microsoft made before, and to be honest, I probably won't even like the usability of the Zune, but there's never been a product more marketed to me! The website with Zune inspired videos & artwork is just amazing and I am thoroughly impressed with the list of artists they have on board. The Zune Originals project features laser engraved art by the best of the bunch- Tado, Catalina Estrada, Sam Flores and Meomi, just to name a few. You can watch Zune inspired music videos (like the one by Yves Geleyn that I posted earlier) and download wallpapers for your Zune.. I can't say anything about the device itself, but they have sure done a great job on this artist series!

Meomi Prints

The dynamic Meomi duo have some really lovely prints availble. Had I the funds to buy one, I'm not sure I could choose which I liked best!

The Octonauts and the Sea of Shade

Meomi has done it again! This wonderful new Octonauts book is entitled "The Octonauts and the Sea of Shade". Catch up with Captain Barnacle, Peso Penguin, Kwazii Kitten, Professor Inkling and the rest of the crew as they travel on their newest adventure.

All the shadows have gone missing, and the Octonauts must travel through the Sea of Shade to try and get them back!

This book would make an excellent gift! In fact, I think I am adding it to my Holiday wish list :)
It's available through Immedium Publishers... and you can even pick up a signed copy, here!

Treeson's 2nd Birthday!

I love vinyl toys, and I own a lot of them, but none of them make me super happy the way my Treeson toys do! Every time I look at them, I just love them more and more. Today I was looking at the art of Bubi Au Yeung , my Flickr friend, and the creator of my beloved Treeson. Turns out, Treeson has a birthday next week, on August 8th, and my birthday is August 7th, what a coincidence! There is a show up in Hong Kong right now, in honor of Treeson's birthday! Contributing artists are among some of my favorites, including Tado, Jon Burgerman, Meomi, Gaston Caba, and Dan Goodsell (Mr. Toast)! Oh, I wish I could go!!!
