I love the illustration work of Nathan Jurevicius and am a big fan of his Scarygirl characters so I was super excited to see this trailer for the upcoming Scarygirl video game!

Scarygirl video game trailer!
Ni no Kuni
Studio Ghibli is responsible for some of the most amazing animated films ever- My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, and Spirited Away were all created there. I am so excited to hear that they have been working on a video game for the Nintendo DS. No word yet on an English version- maybe they could just put one out with subtitles? I really haven't liked their English language translation in the past and always prefer to watch the films in Japanese with subtitles.
The animation looks amazing though, as always, so even if you can't understand how to play, it will be beautiful to look at.

Ninjatown for DS Preview @ Double Punch

Ninjatown for DS doesn't get released until October, but Shawn is touring around offering special sneak peeks at the game, special limited merch, and of course, the chance to meet him!
Catch the fun this weekend at Double Punch in San Francisco.
Double Punch
1821 Powell Street, San Francisco, CA
Friday, September 19, 7pm-9pm
Saturday, September 20, 1pm-5pm
Ninjatown creator, Shawn Smith, alongside Jen Brody will be on hand to personally talk about their plush creations and how they’ve made the transition to the virtual world. Shawn will be bringing along exclusive one-of-a-kind Ninjatown merchandise, and Double Punch will be showcasing a gallery of Ninjatown concept art as well as original Shawnimals paintings and drawings.
Shawnimals

I was going through my photos and realized I forgot to post about meeting Shawn from Shawnimals at Comic Con! He even drew me this awesome 'Pork Cube comb over'.
Shawn has some great items in his online store- including pocket sized poop and mustaches (because really, aren't those items that should always be in your pocket?) original sketches, and plushies.
I previously posted about his NinjaTown for Nintendo DS game that he's been working on- looks like the release date is set for this Fall, and I can't wait!

Ninjatown for DS - Trailer
Ninjatown for DS is going to be so much fun! Even if the game turns out to be lame- the graphics are so cute, it won't matter! Ninjatown was created by Shawnimals, and will be released in the Fall- I can't wait!
A milestone, 25 years in the making...

I was never allowed to play video games as a kid, save for one hand held Beauty and the Beast game that was infinitely annoying. I played it all the time though, and watched longingly as my friends all played much cooler games on their Nintendo systems.
Dan bought me a Gameboy when we first started dating, but I suck at EVERY game.
Tonight, however, a very important life goal was met... I beat my first game! Take that LOCO ROCO! I BEAT YOU!
Now I am sad because the object occupying my every free moment since Christmas has been conquered. I didn't collect as many points and special prizes as possible though, so maybe I will start all over!
