Shawnimals and Squibbles Ink have teamed up with OhNo!Doom in Chicago on this custom toy show with Plushform. Plushform is an, open-ended blank plush platform toy (think Kidrobot’s Munny, but softer...). Artists from around the world were invited to participate, each with a unique style that will not only show off the amazing talents of each artist, but also the versatility of the Plushform as a blank toy medium.

This show will feature a number of talented artists that have created a plush for this show. This mythical Ninjatown beast's activities are a bit of mystery. What does he do with the Wee Ninjas and other creatures he takes back to his cave home. Does he eat them? Use them as slaves to move boulders from here to there? Or maybe just hangs out with them and streams shows on Netflix? Some things are best left unanswered...

Shawnimals Forest Spirit Wee Ninja for Earth Day!

In celebration of Earth Day, Shawnimals has produced an adorable organic, eco friendly Forest Sprit Wee Ninja! Released today, this plush toy is made entirely of organic, sustainable materials. I think this is a wonderful testament to the fact that plush toys can be cute, well made, and good for the earth. Toys that inspire us should do so even more when they are made without leaving a negative footprint on the earth.

Ninjatown for DS Preview @ Double Punch

Ninjatown for DS doesn't get released until October, but Shawn is touring around offering special sneak peeks at the game, special limited merch, and of course, the chance to meet him!

Shawn will be bringing along exclusive one-of-a-kind Ninjatown merchandise, and Double Punch will be showcasing a gallery of Ninjatown concept art as well as original Shawnimals paintings and drawings.

I was going through my photos and realized I forgot to post about meeting Shawn from Shawnimals at Comic Con! He even drew me this awesome 'Pork Cube comb over'.


Shawn has some great items in his online store- including pocket sized poop and mustaches (because really, aren't those items that should always be in your pocket?) original sketches, and plushies.


I previously posted about his NinjaTown for Nintendo DS game that he's been working on- looks like the release date is set for this Fall, and I can't wait!
