Prius goes plural

I love the Sesame Street-like graphics in this toyota commercial. As a Prius driver, I'm opting for -es.

San-X Animation

I spent way too much time tonight enjoying various San-x character animations on YouTube. They are so simple yet I love them SO much!

Mr. Clement's "When we Fall"

I love the simple graphic novels by Mr. Clement. Yeah Kou Phobia is definitely one of my favorite toys, although he fell in the last LA earthquake and currently has two broken legs...
Anyway, Mr. Clement has released a brand spanking new graphic novel entitled "When we Fall". This April, the jet-pack bunnyhero of the story will be released as a new toy!

Here's a sweet little animation of the novel:

Rinee Shah Site Updates

One of my favorite upcoming illustrators / animators, Rinee Shah, has added some new work to her website. You might remember the video I posted before, 'Little Forest,' which is easily one of my most favorite animated pieces ever. I watched it again and still love it so much I decided to post it again, above. She has a new section on her site entitled 'Work in Progress' which consists of a preview image from an intriguing new animated piece. I encourage you to spend some time on her site and watch all of her wonderful different animated pieces!

Daniel van Westen (weird studios) is an artist based out of Germany who created this really cute Monsters Love Sushi animation. You can see his portfolio, here.

Mar Hernández

I discovered a wonderful new illustrator today, thanks to Thumbtack Press. Mar Hernández has some great prints, and a stellar portfolio of work. Check it all out here, and look at the selection of prints available, here.

Rinee Shah : Almost

I've posted a lot of different videos over the course of this blog, but one of my favorites has always been "Little Forest" by Rinee Shah. It's just so indescribably lovely, and I often go back to it and watch it over and over.
Rinee has just let me know of a new video, entitled "Almost"; it's quite bittersweet, with an unexpected twist at the end! The animation work is lovely as always, and I am so excited to see what Rinee comes up with next!

If you didn't catch the "Little Forest" video the last time I posted it, here it is again!

Lava Bar - Chocolate That Mends Broken Hearts

Bubi Au Yeung is an amazingly talented illustrator, and the artist behind my favorite vinyl toy, Treeson. She worked on an animated ad for Lava Bar - it's the chocolate that mends broken hearts!

Zune

I am an Apple girl, and I always have been. I've never owned a PC, and I can't use one very easily... they just don't seem to be made in a way that makes sense to me. I've got an Iphone, and an Ipod... and now I want a Zune!? I've never wanted anything that Microsoft made before, and to be honest, I probably won't even like the usability of the Zune, but there's never been a product more marketed to me! The website with Zune inspired videos & artwork is just amazing and I am thoroughly impressed with the list of artists they have on board. The Zune Originals project features laser engraved art by the best of the bunch- Tado, Catalina Estrada, Sam Flores and Meomi, just to name a few. You can watch Zune inspired music videos (like the one by Yves Geleyn that I posted earlier) and download wallpapers for your Zune.. I can't say anything about the device itself, but they have sure done a great job on this artist series!
