Shawnimals and Squibbles Ink have teamed up with OhNo!Doom in Chicago on this custom toy show with Plushform. Plushform is an, open-ended blank plush platform toy (think Kidrobot’s Munny, but softer...). Artists from around the world were invited to participate, each with a unique style that will not only show off the amazing talents of each artist, but also the versatility of the Plushform as a blank toy medium.

A really great new blog has just launched by artist Steve Rack, and it's all about one of my most favorite things- character art! IlikeCharacters.com has kicked off their site with a wonderful series of interviews and a giveaway featuring an original sketch by Bubi Au Yeung, and prints by Mr. Toast (Dan Goodsell) and Ben the Illustrator. Monster Art Rally @ Gallery 1988 SF

Treeson's 2nd Birthday!
I love vinyl toys, and I own a lot of them, but none of them make me super happy the way my Treeson toys do! Every time I look at them, I just love them more and more. Today I was looking at the art of Bubi Au Yeung , my Flickr friend, and the creator of my beloved Treeson. Turns out, Treeson has a birthday next week, on August 8th, and my birthday is August 7th, what a coincidence! There is a show up in Hong Kong right now, in honor of Treeson's birthday! Contributing artists are among some of my favorites, including Tado, Jon Burgerman, Meomi, Gaston Caba, and Dan Goodsell (Mr. Toast)! Oh, I wish I could go!!!
