Copro Nason Prints

Copro Nason Gallery hosts shows by an amazing array of artists, including some that are often featured on the TokyoBunnie blog like Noferin, Kukula, Audrey Kawasaki, Amy Sol, Joe Ledbetter and others. They have some great prints for sale in their online store right now. See some of my favorites after the jump, or check them all out on Copro Nason's site here. (Print featured above is by Thomas Han)

*UPDATE Once Again- Photobucket has flagged a painting I posted as adult content so you won't be able to see all the Kukula prints that are available- you'll have to go to Copro Nason's site to see them. Grrrr....

Anna Wadham

I am really liking the illustration work of the UK artist Anna Wadham. She illustrated the children's book 'The Ant and the Big Bad Bully Goat (Tales with a Twist)' and her second book, published by Childs Play, is due out soon. She has a lovely blog, and sells prints of her work (and some really pretty jewelry) in her Etsy shop. See additional images after the jump!

Bored Inc. at the Cherry Blossom Festival April 4th & 5th

Just an early reminder that I will be exhibiting at the Los Angeles Cherry Blossom Festival next weekend!

Located in Little Tokyo, Saturday April 4th and Sunday April 5th.

See the Cherry Blossom Festival Website for details. Hope to see you there!

Fifi Lapin + LeSportsac Paper Dolls

I stopped in LeSportsac with Dan last weekend to take a first hand look at the new Fifi Lapin line. I was super excited when I heard about this collaboration and I have been wanting to see the bags in person.

To be honest, I wasn't so smitten with the silhouettes that were chosen for the line. A lot of them looked a little too much like lunchboxes or diaper bags. They also have huge plastic zippers which just didn't seem to fit the Fifi Lapin aesthetic to me.

However! The catalog they were giving out for the line was incredible! It's filled with Fifi paper dolls! How fun! It's so adorable I photographed most all the pages to show you- see them all after the jump!

Cute Culture Clothing

Since I have opened the blog up to submissions, I have gotten so many great e-mails! I try to spend a lot of time finding cute and inspiring things to post here but there is just so much amazingness out there that it's great when it just appears in my inbox! So, THANK YOU to everyone who has been e-mailing me their work!

One of my first favorites is the Cute Culture Clothing shop! This UK based shop sells super cute kawaii illustrations on tees, greeting cards, stickers, buttons, jewelry and hair clips. The graphics range from sweet panda bears to cute kokeshi girls! Check out Cute Culture Clothing!

Mar Hernandez's Malota Shop

Mar Hernandez is an incredibly talented illustrator living in Spain. She's opened a shop to sell beautiful prints and custom works. I am smitten with this custom hand painted Labitrioshka she made, and her print selection is gorgeous!

Thank you Domingo Ayayla!

I recently posted about the release of a new collection for '09 by one of my favorite designers, Domingo Ayala from Barcelona. Well, I checked my mailbox and look what I found! The cutest pins I have ever seen! I love them! They are super detailed using satin, beads and sequins. I can't wait to wear them!

Thank you so much Domingo & Rolf!

Etsy : Tacky Top Hat

Kate Gariepy's illustrations adorn many of the items in her adorable Tacky Top Hat Etsy shop. Check out here Flickr portfolio here, and her Etsy shop here!

My Miss Van pin has arrived!

I was so excited when my little parcel from Miss Van arrived! I bought her new wood pin from the Princesas Market. It came in a gorgeous engraved soft leather pouch, and included a certificate of authenticity and two stickers. See more pictures after the jump.

It's even more beautiful in person than I was expecting! I wish the pouch came as a full sized purse!

Etsy : Ismoyo's Playground

Ismoyo's Playground is one of my favorite blogs. I didn't even realize there was a super cute accompanying Etsy shop! Aside from goods adorned with fun vintage illustrations, there's plenty of items with cute original illustrations of deer, bunnies, owls and more!

Similarities anyone?

Earlier this month I posted about the Thomas Han flyer that I felt resembled Miss Van's artwork much too closely.

In a similar vein, I found a post about the Portuguese artist Susana Romão on NotCot.org and I have to say that she took Seonna Hong's character exactly as it appears on Seonna's 2006 painting 'A Bear of a Bear'. She changed the dress to red, as the dress appears on the painting 'Self Defeating'.

These kinds of works should not go unnoticed. If she was trying to pay homage to Seonn'a characters, then credit should have been given.

Nut & Bee Prints

The huge range of adorable $6 prints in the Nut and Bee Etsy shop is incredible! (There's also a great selection of rubber stamps, lettersets, write-on labels, stickers, recipe cards and more!)
