Tiny Mammoth by Beci Orpin

Beci Orpin is the artist behind the Princess Tina line, my absolute favorite brand of clothing, jewelry and accessories. I've just stumbled upon her line for kids, called Tiny Mammoth. The name was inspired by a dream her son had, where he had a little mammoth for a pet!
The line is just amazing, although its mostly only available in Australia, there are a few websites that sell it, and you can see the list here.

There's even a secret coloring page!

New Princess Tina @ Keith & Lottie

It's always a little hard for me to find items by my favorite designer, Princess Tina, in the US. Sometimes they have stuff at Giant Robot, but it's nothing like the selection in the Australian shop Keith & Lottie!

The new jewelry, screened plaid scarves and notecards are awesome!

POKETO: New Tees & Wallets!

Dear Poketo, why do you keep making such awesome things, and how does your lineup of artists manage to keep getting better day by day? Poketo has some new tees (even for kids!), and a new event lined up (in Australia!) to launch their newest series of wallets. The tees feature art by some super-awesome-talented-amazing people like Peskimo DGPH, and Anke Weckmann.

They are headed to AUSTRALIA to release their new series of wallets. The artists involved include Beci Orpin (Princess Tina!!), Biddy Maroney, Fleur Harris, Fontaine Anderson, Greedy Hen, James Gulliver Hancock, CUPCO, Maricomaricar, EAMO, Lilly Piri, Sam Hoh, Catherine Campbell, Eveline Tarunadjaja, and NAILS.

Here are the event details, in case you are in Australia!

Giant Robot Wishlist

Giant Robot is probably my favorite place to shop in LA. They've expanded quite a bit since I first started shopping there, and now they have GR2 (the best gallery in LA), GR Silverlake, and GRSF (San Francsico), and GRNY (New York). They just got in some nice new Princess Tina stuff, so I spent some time shopping their webstore and compiled my newest wishlist!

Chiho Aoshima - Yuyake-chan Miss Sunset Print

Princess Tina - Tea Cake Scarf (Black)

Princess Tina - Double Arms T-shirt (Coral)

Princess Tina - Patch Up T-shirt (Lavender)

Hello Kitty DJ Speaker (Pink)

New Princess Tina

Oh man, every time Beci Orpin comes out with new items in her Princess Tina line, I just swoon! She just finished up a show in Perth Australia at Keith & Lottie (Danica from the Paper Cut Heart blog even got to go to the show, I am so jealous!)

New Princess Tina

Anyone up for robbing a bank with me? Just like last season, I want every piece of clothing in the new Princess Tina line. It's all so amazing- the prints, the colors... and it's all very hard to find! I guess I need to plan a trip to Australia!!

GRSF : Tree Show III

Oooh there is a lovely new show coming to Giant Robot SF! I am definitely planning on seeing it before it gets taken down. Here are the details:

Tree Show III at GRSF, July 14 - August 8
Reception: Saturday, July 14, 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Giant Robot is proud to present Tree Show III. In the tradition of its predecessors, this group exhibition will feature arbor-inspired pieces by painters, illustrators, and other creators from street art, indie comics, printmaking, design, and crafty art backgrounds.

Some of my favorite artists will be participating! Including: Apak!, Bigfoot, Calef Brown, Richard Colman, Matthew Feyld, Fawn Gehweiler, Susie Ghahremani, Kathleen Lolley, Beci Orpin, PCP, Ferris Plock, and Kelly Tunstall.

This year's Tree Show will also be a fundraising effort for San Francisco's Friends of the Urban Forest, a non-profit organization that plants over 1,500 trees a year to keep San Francisco communities green. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork will go towards their efforts. For more info: www.fuf.net.

I <3 Princess Tina

My love for Princess Tina can scarcely be put into words. It all started with that little smiling chipped tooth- he was on pins, and jewelry and hoodies and coin purses, and I wanted to own every item. Now there is the Babushkas... I adore the new Babushkas, and the new mushroom hoodies, and the new... oh, everything. I just love the art, and the colors, and the patterns. I am quite certain that Beci Orpin, (the brain behind Princess Tina) and I would be best friends if we ever met. You can buy the amazing new bag and hoodie here, the mushrooms, pins and clothing here, read an interview here, and check out the whole new Princess Tina line here.
